Yeah, so this guy hits like a #$%^ing truck, especially since Blizzard decide to remove almost all the handy-dandy magic damage DR that they had previously implemented for tanks. Unless you’ve got a boatload of self-healing, be careful soloing this one.

Solo’ed this as 406 Discipline Priest. Died on my first attempt, got him on my second. As the other poster said, he hits like a truck. Keep Power Word: Shield up at all times. Fade onto your pet/sidekick as often as possible. Blow defensive cooldowns when he’s hitting you hard and your health is getting low. Spam heals on yourself when necessary. He’s doable, and a fun challenge. Not horrible though, but unpleasant enough you’d want to avoid solo’ing this often.

Not too bad if you can interrupt his Frostbolt and Frostwave spells. Be careful with Frostwave though, if you can’t interrupt it, you’ll have to move out of the marked zone where the spell will hit. But it’s deceptive, I was well and truly out of the way of the spell as marked on the ground several times — by a long shot — and still got hit by it.

Since I cannot find respawn time for this mob anywhere, I decided to camp for a little bit and he showed after about half an hour.I don’t know if I was just incredicbly lucky, or if he spawns a lot. I had been checking the location many times before and never saw him, not anyone announcing that he was up, either.After I killed him (easily soloable now, btw), Ужас морских расселин showed up closeby (cave entrance underwater at about 47, 85). Not sure if they share a respawn timer, or that the Принц Тайфуний kill triggered Ужас морских расселин to spawn, or I was very lucky again… but thought I should mention.

Solo’d on my Ele Shaman, but it was close.Hero/Lust, tank pet, talented and just went ham on him. Interrupt as much as possible and after my tank died I popped my defensive, thundershocked him away from me as an interrupt and healed between nearly every attack I did.Not got the pet yet and I really can’t do with the stress of solo’ing him every day…

I haven’t seen many comments about respawn times — Just wanted to share that I waited about an hour and a half for this guy to spawn today.Also, the spawn didn’t seem to be connected to Chasm-Haunter as others have speculated.
